On 8.24.08, I cast on for the Sunkist Cardi - I was a little anxious about it b/c I was not sure how the two woven tape yarns were going to 'go' together... would they look weird combined...? I had gotten such a good deal on the 2 skeins, that I had to figure out something wonderful I could make using them. So, I cast on and went for it.
Well, it has been a wonderful exercise (see note in a post in Virginia Knits where I commented that I had to play with the pattern to customize it for my fuller figure). Everywhere I pulled it out to KIP (that's, Knit In Public for you non-knitters), I got compliments and questions.
Well -- here it is! I hope you like it...

Awesome! Sorry I won't be there tomorrow - off to visit Auntie. I've had to fudge my Plath Cardigan too, but gee it's been easy-peasy, aside from the fact I didn't have enough room in the car to take the sleeve stitches off the needles yesterday...
I think this Sunkist is going to have to be high on my list. Again, I'm sorry I won't see it in person!
Woohoo, it came out great! Go, you!!
marvelous, looks great on you

It's really pretty and very becoming to you.

I'm amazed at how fast some of you folks knit. I start things and they sit around for months before I finish them. I finally decided to finish up my Hudson River Triangle scarf/small shawl and now only a couple of pattern sets short of the end, one of the needle point protectors popped off when it was set aside and I'm now trying to fix the stitches that dropped. Yuck!
If you still need Pay It Forward folks, I'll let Grace know when I have a chance and she can let some of her readers know. I'll also mention it on my next blog post.
Oh, I forgot to tell you I liked the cardigan. I got stuck on the fact that you knitted it so fast and forget to mention how pretty it is.
What a great idea mixing the two tape yarns. Maybe I will knit a garment I can wear.
