TNK and podcasts and Wrap Cardi

Today is Tuesday, even though yesterday was a work holiday (thank you Presidents Washington and Lincoln) - I am hoping I will make it to TNK - did not go last week b/c I was not feeling up to par and ... ssdd unfortunately.
On to the issue of podcasting - have any of you ventured into that interesting realm...? I find that I do not enjoy radio here in central Virginia - there is nothing interesting on and I am actually able to tune in even less at my desk here at work... probably something about almost 100 year old stone walls that seem to be at least 12" thick... I don't know.
So I got out an mp3 player and looked into what to put on it.... Music is great, but I like to learn things. I am a big fan of talk radio and audio tapes / cds (books on take - that kind of thing - I mean, it's hard to hold a book and knitting kneedles simultaneously) so listening to an unabridged book is, well, wonderful to say the least), when I can find something interesting to listen to. All said, I thought, there has to be some knitting podcasters out there and began looking around. I love research ... it is so wonderful and amazing to me, still, to be able to enter some search terms on the www and actually get 100s, no 1000s, of responses in a flash! (I know, showing my age here.) Anyhow, when you get a chance, check out Brenda at www.cast-on.com. Very interesting stuff. I will write more about this as I find more worthy folks to listen to!
Wrap Cardi is coming along ... I am about 1/3 of the way along ... check out flickr to see most recent photos.

There are TONS of GREAT podcasts. Find Sticks & String by David from Australia. He's one of my favorites!

I've been listening to Gina's podcast (sleepyeyesknits on iTunes), and check out audiobooks from the library and put them on my iPod. Suddenly, my knitting goes much faster, since I'm not also struggling to keep a book open and follow a pattern *and* where I am on the page...
