I don't know why such a simple pattern is so hard for me to knit without mistakes. How does one start a row with the proper number of stitches and then follow the instructions exactly and end up with either one too many or one too few stitches at the end of the row?
I'm on Chart 4 and finally gave up after screwing up row 3 on one of the repeats at least three times. Different mistake each time, and I was being so careful. I'll finish it before the meeting though.
On the other hand, the scarf that I learned about lace knitting on that had given me so much trouble in the beginning is now a breeze. I picked it back up the other day after setting it aside for months and it just zips along.

I need to finish my last two shawl-alongs so I can justify joining a new one...!
