We visited a huge Cabela's in Hamburg. [no photos, sorry]
We visited The Mannings (!) -

We visited Downtown Gettysburg.

And on the way home we stopped by Historic Ellicott City in Maryland for a late lunch / early dinner. The old part of the town is built into a winding hill, actually carved out of rock. It is a really picturesque place. I wish I had taken some photos, but I just forgot! [photo borrowed from official website]

Whew! We left Virginia on Sunday (Aug. 3) and arrived back home on Wednesday night (Aug. 6); all of us exhausted! The pets were glad to see us, though, and I was glad to see them, too.

Hi Cat! Somehow I've never caught your blog before! I've been to Hawk Mountain and I think hiked on that same trail. We have friends in the area. Of course I must admit it was making me crazy that there was snow in that last photo, until I read it close enough to realize in was a file photo!
Looks like you had a good time.
Your shawl is ever prettier in person. I like it best of all of them.
