Today when I got up to wake my dear son for school, I found that our little dog (American Rat Terrier) Lowi had passed during the night. She was curled up in her kennel. Lo had been going downhill for some time, so this is a good thing. Now she can run and jump in heaven, chasing squirrels and woofing at passersby. We will miss you, little girl.

Oh, I'm so sorry Cathy...even if they are tired and ready it's hard to lose a pet! Jane
My deepest sympathy.
I am so sorry for your loss. Pets mean as much to us here as children. Our Jack Russells ARE our children. At least Lowi went peacefully and you didn't have to make any hard end-of-life decisions.
I'm so sorry Cathy. This is my new fear whenever my elderly cat sleeps longer than normal. But it sounds peaceful.
I'm sorry for your loss. I do like the idea of her chasing butterflies in heaven, though!
I'm so glad she left you with that one last gift... she spared you making that difficult choice...
Oh, Cathy, my thoughts are with you and the family.
